Good Afternoon Saturday

It’s the first Saturday of the MA course. We have been discussing different types of curriculum and ways of assessing them. We have been discussing different styles of teaching and watched a video of an example of direct teaching. We watched a teacher using a mind map to begin a topic and assess children’s ideas and also misconceptions and then revisit the mind map at the end of the topic with the children. Greg showed us the logs that his children use throughout their art course which reflects their development over the years. The Kelly article I read last night was, I found, rather indigestible. It used lots of terms with which I wasn’t familiar and I could feel a rising sense of panic. It was extremely helpful to hear others discussing their understanding of it.

Hello world!
